Ms. Martínez began her professional career as an Associate for the Labor and Employment Law Division at Fiddler, González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. where she gained extensive experience in litigation of cases of wrongful termination, discrimination, and retaliation, among others. Later, Ms. Martínez continued working on Employment Law related matters and gained experience in General Civil Law, Commercial Law and Environmental Law while working at Sepulvado, Maldonado & Couret. During Law School, in the summer of 2013, Ms. Martínez served as a student law clerk for Honorable Sol de Borinquen Cintrón-Cintrón at Puerto Rico’s Court of Appeals. Then, since August until December 2013, Ms. Martínez served as an intern at the Mediation and Adjudication Office of the Puerto Rico Department of Labor and Human Resources assisting administrative judges in cases regarding wrongful termination and wage and hour claims. During her last semester at Law School, Ms. Martínez served as law clerk at Toledo-David Law Offices, P.S.C., where she worked matters related to Labor and Employment Law, Torts and Contracts. Also, during her last year at Law School, she was part of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Discrimination Legal Aid Clinic. Lastly, Ms. Martínez was also a member of the University of Puerto Rico’s Law Review and a blog news writer of the Student Association of Intellectual Property. Ms. Martínez's practice is concentrated in Labor and Employment Law. Her practice includes counseling and litigation in diverse topics, including wage and hour laws, wrongful termination, employment discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, transfer of a going business, contracts and other employment related cases. She represents employers in different matters, before the Puerto Rico courts, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and administrative proceedings before the Puerto Rico Department of Labor, and other government agencies. Ms. Martínez is also a Notary Public.
