Mr. González’s practice consists of counseling clients in a wide range of industries as well as handling federal and state litigation in all areas of labor and employment law. For over 20 years, Mr. González has represented employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Antidiscrimination Unit and defended employers sued in local and federal courts under various federal and state laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other employment laws and regulations. He represents employers in collective bargaining as well as before the National Labor Relations Board and labor arbitrations proceedings. Mr. González regularly provides training and counseling to supervisors concerning investigations, discipline, compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations, prevention of discrimination and retaliation claims as well as union avoidance.

Engagements

Before studying law, Mr. González worked for Mobil Oil Corporation at an oil refinery as Design Engineer and Process Support Engineer. In Law School, Mr. González served as Associate Editor for the Interamerican University Law Review.

For over two decades Mr. González has also served in several positions for the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Chapter and the Section on Labor and Employment Law of the Federal Bar Association.
